RELAY FOR LIFE
ANNOUNCES SCHEDULE AND ACTIVITIES
Ashland, VA

The
Ashland/Western Hanover Relay For Life has released its exciting schedule of
events for this year’s Relay For Life.
The noon ‘til midnight walk for cancer will be held on Saturday, April 26th,
at Patrick Henry
High School.
Relay For Life is a unique fundraising event that allows participants
from all walks of life, including patients, medical support staff, corporations,
civic organizations, churches, schools and community volunteers to join together
to fight cancer. Relay For Life reminds us that progress has been made in the
fight against cancer and that everyone who participates is making a difference.
The highlights of the day include:
10:00 a.m.
Gates Open/On-site Registration opens
Noon
Opening Ceremony Begins with survivor & caregivers lap to immediately
follow
12:30 – 1:30
Live Music by The HonkyTonk Experience
1:00 – 4:00
Carnival games and food and pony rides
1:00 – 8:00
Hamburgers and hot dogs for sale
2:00 – 5:00
Silent Auction

Let’s Jazzercise!

“This year’s Relay For Life will be different from any other we’ve had in
this area,” said Greg Dean, event chair. “The move to a daytime event and our
‘Carnival for a Cure’ theme were designed to bring out more families and give it
a real community feel. There also
will be a large presence from Randolph Macon and Patrick Henry
High School, so it should
be a lot of fun for all."
