Guests can make as many decorations to take home as they wish. We supply wreath forms, wire, clippers, decorations (all natural) — several types of pine cones, holly berries, beauty berry, winterberry, juniper berry. Greenery will be donated by a number of historic estates in Hanover, such as Hickory Hill, Winterberry and Maplewood and includes fir, cedar, holly, boxwood, pine, magnolia, etc. We provide premade bows or ribbon to make your own. We also have candles and holiday decorations for festive table centerpieces.
There will be 15 tables preset with the supplies you need to create your perfect Christmas decorations, and a gardening “expert” at each table to offer advice.
In the corral by the barn, we welcome children for “Kid’s Corner” activities and crafts. We have a fresh tree and children can make decorations to hang on the tree and then take home. We have experts to help guide the children. From wreaths and swags to ornaments, children are only limited by their imagination.
Susan Greenbaum plays holiday favorites in the barn where we serve hot chocolate, tea, coffee, cider and plates and plates full of homemade goodies.
In the spirit of “green”, we use our special Deck The Halls mugs!
For an additional donation, folks can buy gorgeous fully decorated wreaths, swags, tabletoppers created by our design experts with all freshly cut greens.
And new this year, we will have a Giving Tree in partnership with the Ashland Police Department’s “Shop with a Cop” Christmas program for underprivileged children. A tree in the barn will be loaded with envelopes identifying the gift needs for individual children, and guests can make donations toward those gifts.
